Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
1. Overview
DYB Ready (the "Portal") is a teacher-training and evaluation portal operated by DYB Academy ("DYB", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Portal, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Portal is an internal tool for DYB Academy teachers, trainees, team leaders, and administrators — it is not a consumer product, and we do not sell personal information or show advertising.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with an email and password, your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider — we never see or store your plain-text password. Your account is also associated with a role (such as teacher, trainee, team leader, or admin) and, where applicable, a campus, which are assigned by DYB Academy administrators.
Google Sign-In.If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account: your name, email address, and profile picture. We never receive or store your Google password. See "Google User Data" below for more detail.
Training activity. As you work through the training program we record which modules you have completed, your quiz attempts and scores, and review feedback from team leaders and administrators.
Evaluation content. If you use the evaluation tools, we store the evaluations you create, including comments, grades, and signatures you draw or type.
Technical information.We use cookies to keep you signed in (see "Cookies" below). Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, which may include IP addresses and request metadata, for security and reliability purposes.
3. How We Use Information
- to create and manage your account and sign you in securely;
- to operate the training program — tracking module completion, quiz results, and week-by-week progression;
- to provide the evaluation tools and generate evaluation documents;
- to let authorized DYB Academy staff (such as team leaders and administrators) view training progress and evaluations relevant to their role;
- to send account-related emails, such as email confirmation and password-reset messages; and
- to keep the Portal secure and prevent unauthorized access.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Google User Data
When you sign in with Google, the Portal requests only basic profile scopes: your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely to create and identify your account and to display your name and picture within the Portal. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.
DYB Ready's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Cookies
The Portal uses only essential cookies, which keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If you block these cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
6. Service Providers
We use a small number of service providers to run the Portal. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication (stores account, training, and evaluation data);
- Vercel — application hosting;
- Google — optional sign-in with your Google account;
- Resend — delivery of account emails such as confirmation and password-reset messages;
- Dropbox — storage and preview of teaching documents made available through the Portal.
Some training modules embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo. When you watch an embedded video, those services may collect data as described in their own privacy policies.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain DYB Academy training and evaluation records. If your account is deleted, associated personal information is removed, except where we are required to retain records for legitimate record-keeping or legal purposes.
8. Security
All traffic to the Portal is encrypted with HTTPS. Data access is controlled with role-based permissions and database-level row security, so users can only see the data their role allows. Passwords are stored as secure hashes and are never accessible to us in plain text.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law. You can also disconnect Google Sign-In from your Google account settings at any time.
10. Children
The Portal is a workplace tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the Portal or by email.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact the DYB Ready administrator at miloleask@gmail.com. See also our Terms of Service.
